As an owner of property in Golf Colony, I have dealt with several rental property companies, Beachstar Properties has been a great company to deal with. The new management team is easily accessible to deal with, helping make better choices on what I need yo do. I strongly recommend that you use them or if previous renter prior to September 2015, give them.
The property management staff is absolutely top notch at Beachstar. When I initially moved in to the area on a Sunday morning in September they were there at the property at 8:30 on an off day to greet me. Any needs I have had over the past 8 months have been dealt with graciously and quickly.
The new MALE owner is arrogant and rude. He comes off nice at first but is running his business into the ground. We had several problems with our unit. I wasn't sure if I would write a review but after talking to a friend I am. Arrogance at its best. Dirty condo is NOT what I paid for
I have been renting a property from Beachstar since Sept of 2016. It has been the best rental experience I could ask for. The property itself(a one bedroom condo, fully furnished) has been terrific for my needs. Nicely decorated, cable/wifi inclusive, w/d and the perfect size for me. All at an exceptional value to be living 5 minute drive from the oceanfront in beautiful Surfside Beach.
I highly recommend renting and/or buying from Beachstar Properties. This team is loaded with integrity and service.
When we arrived to the rental, it LOOKED like a decent place to stay. I walked upstairs just to spectate everything and one of the beds were broken, the water in the toilet wasn't refilling which was very inconvenient. The rental had roaches and the toilet seats were loose upon arrival so I was charged for it and wasn't able to receive my deposit back . I wouldn't stay here again if I had the option and to be quite honest this rental was my last resort because everything had already been booked. You pay a $150 cleaning fee just for them to tell you you should've cleaned up as well . It's ridiculous. It actually might be discrimination. There was only one roll of tissue and we couldn't even contact anyone for clean linens. The sheets and beds had stains on them, I guess from the last renters which was pretty gross as well . The management sucks and they all come off nice but are real assholes because their rentals are dirty and things are broken that you will get the blame for .
Please be aware that the owners changed hands last year or so. The previous owner, Kristen or something received all the 5 star reviews. The new owners are receiving the well deserved 1 star reviews. It's a snobby young guy that's a real "used car salesman" that seems like he hasn't worked an honest days work in his life and now his parents bought him a business so he could run it into the ground. The quality just isn't there like it used to be. They are rude, no customer service to their property owners, and I think they must have hired friends to clean the units because the cleaning quality control is horrible and not completed timely either. Please understand that most of the units they rent are owned by others who pay them a commission to rent them out and manage issues. You can still rent within this neighborhood without going through this company.
