Its not halls no more but beach boyz love marcus he is super
I'm giving 2 stars b/c they were courteous and fit me in, but probably b/c they smelled opportunity.
They had my car for 9 days and gave me a run around for 7 days. I provided the parts and was charged$280.00 for the labor. They only replaced 1 hose and left the other in my seat. But charged me for both... I won't go back and will not refer anyone else there! They ripped me off, how sad...
If I could give 0 stars I would! They don't deserve 1 star. I don't know where these people learned to work on vehicles but I wouldnt trust them with a matchbox car. This place absolutely destroyed our family vehicle that belonged to my dad that passed away. Shortly after we moved to the area. (drove the vehicle over 600 miles btw), the starter went out in our van. Since we were staying close by, we had it towed to Hall's to have a new starter put on it. They called my mother the next day and quoted the cost of installing a starter. A couple days later they called and said the van didn't seem to be running right so they asked if my mom wanted them to go ahead and put on a new fuel pump that my dad had purchased before he passed away and didn't get a chance to put on. I guess they noticed it under the seat. The guy also told her how much more it would cost to put on the fuel pump. She agreed, a few days later they called and said the van was ready we could come and get it. We went to pick it up and as my mom was trying to drive it off the lot she couldn't even keep the van from revving up and trying to pull out without her even pushing the gas. The van clearly was not ready to be picked up. It was dangerous and couldn't be driven. They were closing so we left it again for them to check it and see what was going on. Someone called the next morning and said that an idle button was broken and it would be another amount of more money to fix it. They called the next day to say again that it was done. We went again to pick it up and it still wasn't fixed. My mom explained to them we have never had any problems with the motor and the van now wouldnt idle right. Of course they said it wasnt running when it was towed there and they didn't know what condition it was in. I will tell you god and every one that knows us knows the van was is good running condition for its age and we had just driven it over 600 miles here and then the starter went out and it wouldn't crank. That's all!! Now it still doesn't idle right, it jumps and hops while sitting at a red light. We have to crank it every day even if we don't leave the house or it won't crank at all. They destroyed the only vehicle we had. They turned a dependable vehicle into a piece of junk. They took advantage of a grieving widow and charged her hundreds of dollars to NOT FIX HER VEHICLE! Take my warning if you need a MECHANIC this is not the place to go. They clearly don't have a clue.
My fuel pump was failing and needed new pump & filter. They charged me a full hour of labor to change a fuel filter, which is literally a 5-7 min job, max.
And after reading slanderous immature response by owner, I've changed from 2 to 1 star. My review was honest, simply warning others to be wary, and they resort to name calling and insults. That's the kind of business you're dealing with here. Take your money to a respectable human being who understands how to treat his fellow man.
***They also pushed down the power window button on the passenger side door and now we can't even use that side. They had no business inside the door anyway. Not to fix a starter!
While discussing with front desk the mechanics call me back to let me know they were able to get it started.. I guess the they had a conscience.
Be wary of them gouging you on price. Notice most of the positive reviews are for tires or brakes. They really tried to take advantage and rip me off because they knew I was traveling through Myrtle Beach and needed to get on the road.
I griped to them that I felt was being taken advantage of. Girl at register says it's 3 hrs of labor while guy quoted me 4. Said it required an HOUR OF TESTING. What a joke . $70 to make sure it starts.

I took my truck here to have used tires installed. They replaced the tires with what the employee told me were a great set of used tires. The next day the front left tire was low. I added air and returned the truck to have the tire repaired. They called and said the tire was fixed so I got a friend to give me a ride to pick up my truck. The very next day the tire was low again so I got another friend to give me another ride to drop off my truck once again. I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes while an employee completely ignored me while having a conversation about people they knew until I finally interrupted and asked for some assistance. They called the next day and said this time they definitely had the tire fixed but two weeks later the tire was low again. I add air to the tire every couple of weeks but last weekend the left rear tire went flat. I replaced with my spare tire and found that the leak was in between the tread and sidewall of the tire and also that the same tire had been plugged before in a different location but on the same section where the tread meets the sidewall. I took the truck by last Saturday but the shop was closed. I have called at least a dozen times this week and left multiple voice messages but have received no return phone call. The shop has horrible customer service and are dishonest and I would definitely not recommend them. I'm going to tell all my friends to avoid them in the future.
My car was starting perfectly fine when I brought it in, but was sputtering due to failing pump.. after changing filter and overcharging for that, they tell me it won't start any longer and needs new pump.. leaving me with no option. And the guy seemed a bit enthusiastic & unapologetic about wanting to charge me over $600.
I'm sure they're great for tires and brakes.. Don't trust 'em for bigger jobs.
Thankfully was able to drive it away and get the job done for HALF price elsewhere.
They wanted to charge me 4 hrs of labor for a job someone else did in 1.5
